Daniels Mill

Daniels Mill is a working water mill used for milling flour and is located near Bridgnorth in Shropshire. The earliest reference to the mill appears around the late 15th century, when it was known as "Donynges" or "Dunnings" Mill. It currently has the largest cast iron waterwheel powering a working corn mill in England, around 38ft in diameter. The present wheel was originally cast at Coalbrookdale in 1854, installed around the middle of the 19th century. Interestingly it can bu used as either a breastshot or a back shot wheel depending on the load

The drawings are the first part of an ongoing project to record the mill as it was whilst in full production pre 1957 so will be updated as time permits and information becomes available. Any photographs or other information are always welcome
